I was looking through my memory box the other day (I admit to having one) and found some baby clothes that had been knitted for me over 60 years ago!  It struck me that there is still room for some of these lovely retro designs to make a comeback (I admit though that some were not so lovely!)

I started playing around with different stitches and created a sampler.  I chose white because it defines the stitches well, and also because I wanted to go back to a traditional gentle palette of white and pastels.  

I'm looking forward to adding to the "Precious Days" range in the weeks and months to come, so I hope you like it.

The yarn is King Cole 'Cherished', a lovely soft double knit weight acrylic which is perfect for baby clothes.  It washes well and is non-pilling.  Hand wash or machine wash at 40°, rinse, slow spin or roll in a towel, re-shape and dry flat.

This cot cover measures 65cm (25.5") wide by 70cm (27.5") long
