About Us

Welcome to a new enterprise (although Boho Zo Designs has been going for years ... in my head!)  At last I have taken the plunge and started my little shop, and I can't wait to share it with you.  I am starting small (with Christmas stock) and can't wait to build up steadily in 2026 and beyond.

I want to thank the following members of the team very much for helping to get BHZ this far:  Patricia Jackson at Little Treasures Boutique for her time and skill, offering invaluable help with producing items for the website, Jo-Jo Tzanis for her fantastic photography, and Hannah and Uyen for their modelling skills!

Everything here is hand made from original designs, providing quality and originality.  I will work hard to keep a good variety of stock in the shop at all times and there will be new things coming each week.  Because nothing is mass produced, there may be times when an item on a short run may be replaced with something similar but not identical.  So, I thank you in advance for your patience, and at the end you will have something unique.

I love to chat, so I aim to produce a weekly blog which I hope will entertain you.  I welcome everyone's comments and suggestions for what's trending, what you like in the shop, and what you would like to see.  I would also welcome photos of you with your purchases!

As you can tell from the shop's name, my taste and attitude to life is Bohemian ("socially unconventional, in a way regarded as characteristic of creative artists").  Make of that what you will!  I do put my practical hat on too, so that the items on offer are useful and well made, as well as beautiful!

I am based in South Wales, but I spend time in Turkey each year, a country whose colour and vibrancy provides a wonderful source of inspiration  I was born and brought up in Surrey and moved to Wales in 2020, where my husband Bryn and I enjoy the beautiful scenery around Brecon.  I am a member of the local branch of the Spinners' & Weavers' Guild and like to keep abreast of what's going on in the rich arts and crafts community in the area.

Using the traditional techniques of knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving and sewing, with a bit of embroidery and painting thrown in, I take my inspiration from the shapes and colours of the natural world.  I like things to be beautiful, useful, individual and well made, so I hope my designs reflect that.  I recycle and upcycle wherever I can, which has always seemed sensible, but which is now becoming ever more important.

I hope you enjoy browsing as more stock appears!  I am keen for your feedback as this will help me to improve the website and mould the business going forward.  I look forward to hearing from you!
