Hi, I'm Zoe at Boho Zo Designs. I offer unique and contemporary designs with a fun bohemian twist. Each piece is hand made using the traditional techniques of spinning, hand knitting, crochet, weaving, dressmaking and embroidery. I am also producing a collection of small pieces of upcycled furniture (mirrors, frames, boxes etc) using chalk paint effects, as well as playing with papier maché to create hand painted boxes and decorations. I focus on colour (brights and neutrals) and also texture. I prefer to use natural materials but will use a wide variety of yarns and fabrics as appropriate. I produce clothing for all the family, items for pets, homeware (including cushions, throws and small items of furniture) and hand-spun yarn for knitting/crochet/felting. I was taught to knit at the age of 7 or so, and making things has been the thread running through my life ever since. The learning curve has now stretched over six decades. Having joined my local Spinning and Weaving Guild earlier in the year, I am now learning a whole new set of skills; the learning curve is showing no signs of flattening out! Items are hand made from scratch in small batches, and as every piece is individual there may be slight variations in colour or materials, although every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum. Every item will be of equal quality and show its own personality. If you see something you like and I am currently out of stock, I will make one especially for you. I will make every effort to keep lead times as short as possible and keep you in the loop regarding delivery times. I know how frustrating it is to be left in the dark when purchasing on line!
